Palmer Divide Run, Sunday May 18, 2008

The Mumm’s and the Day’s invite you to our Annual Spring Dust Off event. This year the Dust Off will follow a southern route in the Palmer Divide area. Join your fellow RMJC and JCSC members as we follow the old 1860 Butterfield stage routes. The Palmer Divide Run begins in South Parker, heads east towards Kiowa, then south towards Elbert, while crossing the Palmer Divide several times.

THE START: The Pinery Country Club is located at 6900 E. Pinery Parkway, Parker, CO 80134. 303-841-2060.

E-470 and Parker Rd, south to N. Pinery Pkwy, east 1 block. Or – Take I-25 to Lincoln Ave, east to Parker Rd, south to N. Pinery Pkwy. The Club is on Parker Road (Hwy 83), approx 5 miles south of Main St in Parker. If coming from Colorado Springs, Castle Rock or Elizabeth, it is approx 6 miles north of the intersection of Hwy 86/Hwy 83, on Hwy 83.

The Pinery Club will have a blurb in their newsletter letting folks know to come and see some beautiful Jags from 8-9 that morning. So, if you are so inclined, come early!

REFRESHMENTS PROVIDED: Coffee will be provided at the club starting at 7:30am, with a PROMPT start at 9:00 am. For those of you who would like to have breakfast, you may do so on the Mumm’s membership
for $11.00 per person, to be paid the morning of the Dust Off.

We will take a fun drive, have a champagne toast to spring along the way, and end the morning with a fabulous 4-course sit-down luncheon in Sedalia at Gabriel’s at approximately 12:30 p.m. For more information on Gabriel’s Restaurant, go to http://www.gabrielsdenver.com/.  The cost for the day is only $35 per person; cash bar.
